Our host families
Staying with a French family is an excellent way to learn about French culture, experience the French way of life and intensify your knowledge of the French language.
Around the dinner table in the evening and at the weekend, you will hear French being spoken, and even if you are a beginner and you don’t understand everything, you will still be learning.
You will get to know the French way of thinking and of course you will have the chance to enjoy our famous cuisine. Some hosts may even introduce you to their friends and families and invite you to join them in their activities and show you around the region.
They have been chosen with great care in terms of their generosity and hospitality.

The host families’ homes are all situated in the town’s historic centre, always between 3 and 5 minutes walk from the school.
Some have a terrace or garden, or even a swimming pool.
What do we call a family?
A family can be a couple with teenage children, a couple whose children no longer live at home, a single person, most often a woman in her fifties or sixties, and very often a single woman with children at college.
If you choose to stay with a family, we will ask for your preferences with regard to the type of family and we will do our best to match ages and cultural interests, in order for your stay to be a success!
Your stay with the family starts on Sunday and finishes on Saturday. Before you leave you will receive the family’s address, telephone number and email address and they will meet you at Cahors train station if you are arriving by train.
